Ran 664 hours and never a crash.ĭoes certain areas of your computer has rights restrictions: I set up no special rights or restrictions that Windows doesn't come with out of the box. With REAPER I have installed boatloads of large VST's 32 & 64 Bit. Notepad++ & Chrome.ĭo you use a mix of 32/64 VST's: As I said above I didn't even have *ANY* VST's installed on my machine, and Magix would crash every 30 minutes.

What type of other software products are you running: Pretty much nothing. Don't know what I used for Magix, and you can't make me start that app up ever again.

You're telling me to stop it, but you asked me a bunch of questions, so I'm assuming you want answers.ĭo you update frequently: Windows 10 updates itself regularly.Īre you a gamer on that system: Used to, haven't played a game in ages.ĭo your kids use it for other things: Just me.ĭo you use it for video production: I have Action! installed but use it rarely.ĭo you use ASIO: For REAPER I use WaveOut. It was perhaps the most unpleasant experience I have had with a software application, and I've used 1000' s over the years. I'm just trying to save others the same grief I went through with Magix. Just as many others praised the product in the link you posted anyways. There is nothing you said that convinced me that Magix MM is a bad product. So should I trash Ableton Live just because it failed miserably for me me? No, that would be very unwise and plain stoopid. Ableton Live crashed for me, I could not run it. But it is your unique environment that determines if a product will run for you. Then maybe the bad details like, the automation controls lack ability to automate the BPM control in real time or something like that.Įxplaining your own problems does not help anyone other than allowing you to vent which is rather silly. Also a review of the bundled instruments Magix has. Do you update frequently, do have a firewall, do you use some Warez, is your security up to date, are you a gamer on that system, do your kids use it for other things, do you use it for video production, do you use ASIO, how much RAM do you have, what type of other software products are you running, do you use a mix of 32/64 VST's, does certain areas of your computer has rights restrictions, how often do you check for data corruptions, what type of and how many external hardware devices do you run, did you run the Magix MM update and so on.Ī correct review of a product would entail product strengths and pluses, like the improved MIDI editor, the updated instruments, compared to Reaper which comes with no Instruments, and the huge expanded loop library Magix MM has, Reaper has none. I have no way of verifying that your system is running in the most optimum conditions.

What you did was exposed yourself as an inexperienced person who has bitter grapes against this company. You can find the same type of DAW bashing post about any DAW on just about any DJ/Musician/Music/Producer website. JoeFunktastic : Fri 8th Dec 2017 : 3 years please stop, just stop it. Normal price for Magix MM Premium is: $463.97 USD. There flagship version, the premium version, is on sale for: $79.99 USD. You can use the Rewire technology to slave Reason with Magix to form a super like DAW and have Magix MM in control of everything. I would recommend Magix for you opposed to Reason. I currently use Reason 10, but it took me 5 years to where I felt I had a decent command of it. It has a very simplified approach for recording to your Mic as well. You can make some very useful clear sounding music. It also has support for current audio standards, VST-64/32 support and Rewire. Magix MM has a better bundle of included instruments and loops, tons of wizards to facilitate ease of use, and a huge bunch of tutorials created by the Magix people and not just by the users. All three have a simplified approach to common tasks. Magix MM, Acid Pro, and Reaper have very similar attributes and workflow methods. JoeFunktastic : Thu 7th Dec 2017 : 3 years ago
